After his retirement he became the coach of the youth team Tatran Prešov. Under his leadership, the junior team won the championship of Slovakia and succeeded in the nationwide final. As a youth a trainer he has trained over 102 youth players, 30 of which have played in the Czechoslovak first league. Several of his students played in the second league and in various other competitions. He coached players such as Novák, Bubenko, Biroš, Sopko, Onufrák, Liba, the representatives of A and B Teams in Czechoslovakia as well as the Olympic representative team for Czechoslovakia. In the youth national team of Czechoslovakia and Slovakia he trained players like Pinka, Chmura, M. Pavlovič, L. Pavlovič Jr., Molka, Sobota, Čelovský, Ľ. Pavlovič, Blicha, Matkobiš, Korpáš, S. Baran, Fedorišin, Jozef. He later became coach of the A Team Tatran Prešov, Spišská Nová Ves and Bardejov.
